We’re always heavily focused on Cartes at this time of year. But what makes this year truly different is the time and effort that we have expended thinking about the specific challenges that we have seen our customers facing over this last year. So with a bigger stand (for the 5th year running!) the ABnote area will be dedicated to uncovering and solving the major challenges in the cards and identification world. And I thought it might be interesting if I shared some of our thinking with you here on our blog, and offered a preview of what we have in store for you in Paris this November.
New card issuance options – when and where the customer needs it.
The industry has been talking about instant issuance for years. But its time has finally arrived, with banks focused more than ever before on customer service, transport authorities adopting card-based ticketing solutions, and security regimes requiring the rapid replacement of lost or stolen cards. To address this growing need, ABnote has extended our secure personalization processes out from the bureau into bank branches, transportation and ticketing centers, and even satellite locations for secure ID issuance.
Freedom to service customers remotely
Today’s consumer is online and mobile and our customers need to be able to offer issuance, reload and top-up services to meet their needs. So we’ve also extended our secure personalization services to work securely in remote channels. If you’re a bank or retailer, your customers can instantly download a payment or loyalty application while they’re out shopping. And they can top up their train or bus ticket or any other prepaid applications on the move too!
Security printing for visual inspection
Not everything is online – at least not yet
. So much of our business is still dedicated to bringing the highest level of assurance to products intended for visual inspection. In the last year we’ve introduced a variety of new security features and protocols for ePassports, ID cards and secure documents.
See you in November
Come and meet us at Cartes this year from November 15th through the 17th. We’ll show you how the world of cards and documents is changing, and how we’re set to work with you in this time of change. And if you can’t make it to Paris, we’ll see you in the USA in March 2012, as the inaugural Gold sponsor of the new Cartes USA in Las Vegas. But more about that in another post!
